Sorry I
have put weeks 6 and 7 together, I just dont seem to get a
whole lot of time anymore. Funny that.
Well, my mentor came over at 6 weeks, we gave the puppies
their shots, and she did her first evaluation. It was a bit
hard, and we are going to do it again next week - when they
will be 8 weeks old, and this time I will have 3 breeders
looking. I have written the results down below, along with
their personality updates.
Jazzy has stopped feeding the pups altogether, occasionally
they try to have a bit of a go, but I think she has stopped
producing milk. Its nice to have our old Jazzy back to
almost normal. She's back to sleeping in our bed and
cuddling up to us at quiet time.
She has been fantastic disciplining the pups, and is really
starting to have a good time with them at play. Although her
tail is a bit of a novelty, and they keep having a chew on
it. Earlier in the week, we started taking the pups out to
the backyard and they love the freedom of it. Also, it gives
me a bit of a break cleaning up after them so much - the
backyard is my husbands cleaning domain - I just do the
house.
Anyway - enjoy the picks - feel free to contact me if you
would like some more details on their behavior. I think next
week I will make new pages for each individual pup, as I
could almost write a novel for each one.
My work is done
Think we could get a few more bodies in there?
We introduced the crates this week, we put in the big
one, and a smaller one - of course, they just had to all get
into the smaller one.

Doberoo Outback Jack |
Looks like his dad in the face. Neck is set
well, good topline, a little wider in the shoulders,
good angulation. |
Jack is our biggest boy. He's actually leaving
me next week as he is off to stay at his new home
after his ears are done. I'm so happy that he is
being placed with a young family with children a
similar age to mine, as he is such a gentle thing |
|
Doberoo What a Scortcher |
Beautiful head and neck, however could be better
angled front and rear. |
Like her other red sister - Sunburnt Country,
she DOES NOT like to be alone. I'm also working with
her getting weaned away from her litter. She is the
most outgoing of the reds, and I'm hoping that her
new home will be using her for performance and
agility. |
|
Doberoo Lucky Country |
Great angulation, very good in shoulders, good
topline, but slighter than the rest. |
I don't want him to go. Look at him. Isn't he
beautiful. He is the most perfect puppy as far as I
am concerned. |
|
Doberoo Sunburnt Country |
Beautiful head and underjaw. Good topline,
angulation a little too straight in front and rear.
Very good colour and coat. |
She is still my quietest girl, except when you
leave her alone - then she's one of the noisiest.
She plays well with all the pups, but she seems a
bit more people orientated. I'm working on her this
week with crate training and weaning her away from
her sisters, as she will be leaving us soon and I
want her to be on her best behavior for her new
family. |
|
Doberoo No Worries |
Wider set in the shoulders, beautiful underjaw,
may be a little shorter in the muzzle. |
Another one that doesn't chew too much, but
loves getting underfoot. That he takes after him -
she always gets in my way. |
|
Doberoo Down Under
(Dax) |
Beautiful shoulders and neck. Little high in the
hips. |
He gets into everything. And loves biting my
toes and biting everything else. This little boy is
mischief, and he's going to need a pretty active
family. |
|
Doberoo Our Little Vegemite |
Smoother through head and shoulders, however has
a bit of a weak neck, good angulation. |
My husbands favourite, goes to the toilet always
on his paper. He is so relaxed around us, and loves
his tummy rubbed. He was almost asleep when we took
this photo, as he was being cuddled all morning by
my son. |
|
Doberoo Bundy Rum
(BundY) |
Don't let this one go. Nice depth in head.
Balanced angulation, tight in elbows, nice topline,
excellent croup, beautiful eye colour, and - pretty
feet!! |
Our biggest girl, and looks like we are keeping
her, depending on a few more gradings. I'm so glad
though, because I really do like her out of all of
my red girls, she's a lot of fun and doesn't chew on
the kids toys, or the kids for that matter. |
|
Doberoo Waltzing Matilda
(TillY) |
Beautiful face, straighter in the front.
Excellent rear angulation. Slightly short in the
neck and set forward, and shoulder set a bit further
back.
Waiting for the next evaluation. |
Well, all of mums work has paid off. She is no
longer ripping into the other puppies. She is such a
pretty little thing, I'm still hoping she will be ok
to show, as her face is so expressive..will find out
this week. |
