Week 3 & 4 Update

(5 Black Boys, 1 Black Girl, 3 Red Girls) - Puppy enquiry form

hi to everyone. First I must apologize for putting week 3 & 4 together, but I was hit with the flu which I was worried would turn into pneumonia, so other than looking after puppies and kids, I had to take it easy.

The pups are really becoming individuals now, and I'm starting to get to know them individually. They are a lot more responsive to human presence, and can obviously hear now because their ears perk up and they come running when I call out to them. Funnily enough, my 3 1/2 year old son knows them all by name, but my husband still hasn't got a clue.

We started them on puppy gruel this week, as it was all getting a little bit too much for Jazz, plus she starting to have a nip at them when they feed to much on her. (teeth!!!) They have taken to it very well, and aside from the first day when our little black girl decided to use it as a day bed, they have picked it up pretty well.

Have also started them training on newspaper for their little whoopsies. We have an occasional mistake in the bedding, but Jazz usually kicks out the offending puppy along with all the fleeces, so they get the hint.

All of them are weighing in around 5 pounds now, with What a Scortcher the heaviest, and our little white collar boy - Lucky Country the lightest, but not by a great deal. Enjoy the pics, and I have given each one an individual write up below.

Photo Name Nickname Notes
Doberoo Memory to Jack Jack Jack adores my son, and I think it is mutual. He doesn't hesitate to go first. I think his face is a lot finer than the other blacks.
Doberoo What a Scortcher Hottie She's not so much a bully anymore, and is starting to act more like a lady. Really goes for the new toys. Still my biggest pup.
Doberoo Lucky Country Lucky (mainly because it would be rude if we shortened country) This guy has turned out to be a suprise. He takes them all on, even though he's the smallest. He was a bit fussy when he started eating. We had to feed him separately at first (a meal worthy of a Hilton), but now he joins in.
Doberoo Sunburnt Country Big Girls Blouse She started being the most dominant, but now has turned shy. I will be working with her a bit to get her over the next few days to get her to come out.
Doberoo No Worries No Worries He's still the cruisiest. Nothing fazes him at all. He still keeps his tongue out when he is sleeping, but he loves being handled.
Doberoo Down Under Dacks Him and No Worries are so much alike. I would guess they are twins as far as personality goes. Both very cruisey puppies.
Doberoo Our Little Vegemite Vege He's a nice polite boy. A little shy, but slowly coming out of his shell. Has a temperament the same as the above two.
Doberoo Bundy Rum Bundy So much for being the quietest red girl. She adores my son as well, and is all over him. Ready to play and tackle the world
Doberoo Waltzing Matilda Tilly Tilly loves people. Shes probably more comfortable with us than with her siblings. She just wants to snuggle. I know she is going to need a lot of loving as she gets older - bit like her mum

Puppies will get their first evaluation next week...
