G'day everyone.
Another great week, especially because it was Christmas, and
also hubby is home. He's been really enjoying the time with
the kids, and also becoming a bit more involved with the
pups.
All of them pretty much opened their eyes the day before
Christmas which was such a lovely surprise. And a few have
taken their first steps. Funny watching them walk.
"How much longer do I have to do this"
Jazz is doing well, starting to put her weight back on,
and leaving the pups for a break to be with us. She needs a
lot of loving. She is being a great mum and cleaning up
after the pups well (saves me from doing it). Although she
missed one the other day - Poor white collar guy got dumped
on by one of his litter mates.
We sort of had a naming ceremony the day after Christmas.
Probably too early to do that, but it was fun and a good way
to get rid of the left overs, and copious amounts of alcohol
- we had about 5 people here - and voted. I have listed them
below, along with comments on how they are doing and some
updated photos:
Brotherly Love

Notes |
|
Doberoo Memory to Jack |
He was my first boy out, and
I miss my old boy |
He loves to be handled, doesn't cry, and is
pretty easy going. He has put on good weight, and
started walking around. |
 |
Doberoo What a Scortcher |
Wanted to name all the reds
after nice sunny things |
She's a bit bossy, not as bad as some, but will
generally kick all the others out of the way.
Walking / stumbling around. Weight is steady |
 |
Doberoo Lucky Country |
Actually thought I might
lose him - so lucky guy |
This was my lightest one, and he wasn't putting
on weight like the rest, but with a little bit of
TLC, and supplements, he's back on track with his
sibling. He is still the lightest, but only by 1 oz.
He's better at walking than the others though. |
|
Doberoo Sunburnt Country |
Red Dog, Red Name |
She is the most dominant, fattest and noisiest
of the lot. When mum is not there, she lets you know
about it. She even barked yesterday. |
 |
Doberoo No Worries |
This little boy is cruisey,
doesn't care about anything, No Worries Mate |
I love this little guy. He never complains, is
polite, clean, and loves his brothers. He does have
a habit of sucking on everything though, and when
nothing is in his mouth, he sucks on thin air. |
|
Doberoo Down Under |
We can always find him at
Jazzys rear end |
He just likes hanging around Down Under. Another
cruisey puppy, quiet, clean - just the way I like
them. |
|
Doberoo Our Little Vegemite |
We have to name one after
Australias best export |
He has the same temperament as the above two. He
cuddles up to mum a lot, and doesn't like being
alone. We also had to supplement him as well, but
he's back up there with his siblings in weight. |
|
Doberoo Bundy Rum |
The same colour as
Australias other famous export. |
She's my quietest girl, and unlike the other
reds, she is polite. She likes being handled, and
snuggles into me when i give her a cuddle. Her
weight is one of the highest, although shes not a
pig like Sunburnt Country |
 |
Doberoo Waltzing Matilda |
It should have been
Australias National Anthem. At least we know the
words to it |
She turned into a fat little glutton. As heavy
as Sunburnt Country, but has manners. This ones
going to be a lady. She already crosses her legs -
just like her mum. |
We will be weaning next week - so stay tuned....
