(5 Black Boys, 1 Black Girl, 3 Red Girls) - Puppy enquiry form
| Well its been a
very educational week. Not just for me, but for Jazz and her
babies. Jazzy has really relaxed into the mummy mode. I was
getting a bit worried in the first few days, as I literally
had to drag her outside to go to the toilet. She didn't want
to leave them at all. Then I became melancholy as my girl
didn't want to be with us at all - just the puppys. Bit hard on us, when she is constantly by my side 24/7. Anyway, about on the 3rd day, she sneaked out and spent some time with me. But after the first squeak from the maternity ward, she left me alone again. It snowed here in Vegas, you may have heard - it was Jazzys first experience with the snow. Very funny watching her walk in it.
Exhausted Mum
![]() All Puppies and mum went to the vets on Thursday. They had their tails and due claws removed. Only one wasn't doing as well as the rest, and that was my little black boy with white collar....but we've been supplementing his food, and now he's on par with his brothers and sisters. We spend quite a lot of family time around the pups, mainly to get them used to our presence. My son Connor (Jazzys best mate) is so good around them. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous as I didn't know how protective Jazzy would become, but she trusts Connor and there hasn't been so much as a "look". To his credit - Connor only goes in Jazzys room with me - even when the doors are open, then he sits quietly by the box and pats Jazzys head saying "you OK Jazzy. Love you Jazzy." Its so sweet. We've been lucky as we have a nice quiet litter (although the first night was somewhat harrowing). Jazzys terrific and cleans up after them, and they all seem pretty contented. No whining, no lost puppys in the corner, they are all twitching in their sleep, and they can all find mum (i could probably send them to Australia, and they would still find her). I cant really pick their personalities at the moment, but 3 are standing out for me.
